Studiogrey

A paving yard, not a marketing department

Studiogrey sells cabro paving blocks per square metre from the yard at Ruiru, along the Eastern Bypass. We press most shapes ourselves in the yard and stock the rest from established presses, and every batch is cured for the full 28 days before it is sold.

We also lay. That matters because most paving failures in Kenya are base failures, not block failures — and when the same people supply and lay, there is nobody else to blame when it sinks. Our laying quotes separate blocks, base, kerbs, labour and transport so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

What we will tell you

  • Which thickness the heaviest vehicle on your compound needs, even if it is the cheaper one.
  • That colour does not add strength, and that shades vary a little between batches.
  • Whether your ground has black cotton soil, and what it costs to deal with it.
  • What the quote includes, line by line.

What we will not promise

On a properly prepared base, cabro lasts 15–25 years or more. We do not promise beyond that. Anyone promising a lifetime is guessing.

The benchmark for the blocks is KS 827:2003, the KEBS specification for precast concrete paving blocks. Ask us about test certificates for your batch.

What to check before you buy cabro, from anyone

  • Circle kit cabro laid out on the yard floor in grey and charcoal with a segmented star centre, stock pallets behind
  • 3D hexagon cabro in light grey, mid grey and charcoal creating a tumbling-cube effect, yard display panel
  • 3D hexagon cabro in red, yellow and charcoal with the cube illusion, on a display stand in the yard
